Our single-stream sessions give participants the opportunity to discover the creative potential of materials that would otherwise be discarded and sent to landfill. Where they become part of the rescue mission.
Using our skills in we demonstrate how rescuing and repurposing everyday materials can be simple and rewarding. By transforming waste into something meaningful, participants not only help environmental impact but also gain a new perspective on sustainability, innovation, and community action, without leaving their seat.
We offer workshops suitable for a wide range of abilities and work closely with organisers to ensure activities meet the needs of participants. We discuss any specific requirements, barriers, or additional support needs in advance to create an experience that everyone can enjoy and see results.
Participants who prefer working independently can progress at their own pace, while those who prefer additional support receive clear, guided instructions throughout the session.

What workshops for local looked-after children can offer
With a wide selection of crafts available, including colouring, designing, constructing, and plenty of opportunities for creative fun, everything needed is provided, along with the support of our experienced craft leaders.
As children, many of us were happiest when given the chance to get creative with activities such as papier-mâché and other hands-on projects. Our sessions encourage young people to create their own masterpieces while nurturing creativity, imagination, and innovation.
Build confidence and strengthen relationships within your team as everyone can learn new creative skills in a relaxed environment, accompanied by gentle music.
We understand that arts and crafts can be both a mindful and rewarding experience. They provide a space for focus, self-expression, and skill development. No one leaves without having made something nice.
Artcyle's volunteers are Christians. We are privileged to have within the leadership team, a long serving pastoral and youth care worker; a newly qualified teacher; and volunteers from other charitable sectors; a professional graphic designer with over 30 years of experience, all with an understanding of safe guarding and trauma-informed support.

Thank you so much for last week's workshop - everyone loved it.

We help children realise their potential and value
Christian pastoral care brings a compassionate, person-centred approach that values every individual and seeks to nurture emotional wellbeing, resilience, self-worth, and hope. Rooted in principles of kindness, gentleness, encouragement, and service, pastoral care can provide a safe and supportive environment where young people feel heard.
Our team listens, supports, and encourages with gentleness and care. Every session is child-centred, aiming to provide young people with an experience that is both inspiring and empowering, helping them to develop self-ability, explore their creativity, and realise their potential.

Our unique leadership have qualities that are essential for entrepreneurial growth, including resilience, self-belief, empathy, perseverance, and the confidence to try new things without fear of failure.
By helping young people feel valued, supported, and listened to, pastoral care creates a foundation from which they can take positive risks, combined with creative planning from our designer, this double pronged approach helps with problem solving, and develop independence.
Alongside this, our experienced designer can guide, inspire, and encourage an entrepreneurial mindset in young people. Having experience in start-ups and project management, enables young people’s visions to come to life. Interestingly, the word entrepreneur comes from the French entreprendre, meaning "to undertake." It reflects the spirit of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving that our sessions seek to inspire in every young person.
Benefits of workshops for residents in care homes
We adapt our presentations and workshops to suit the interests and needs of each group.
Every day can present challenges for older residents living in care homes, often with mixed feelings, it can be challenge to feel motivated, especially when suffering with health issues. At Artcycle, we are passionate about enriching lives and creating meaningful experiences through creativity and connection to other people.
We offer a range of craft workshops that focus on reusing and transforming single-stream recyclable materials. Each session is tailored to the interests, abilities, and needs of the residents, placing them at the heart of the creative experience.
We work closely with activities coordinators to develop a programme of suitable craft projects that engage, stimulate, and inspire groups. Our workshops encourage a chance to chat and listen and just have an enjoyable time through creative play.
Residents can enjoy either a morning or afternoon session with Artcycle. We recommend group sizes of 6 to 10 residents, supported by two experienced craft leaders, ensuring that everyone receives the encouragement and individual attention throughout the session.
Through practical creative activities, residents will learn something surprisingly new, express themselves, share stories and memories, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits that arts and crafts can bring. Our aim is to have a nice time together.

We adapt our presentations and workshops to suit the interests and needs of each group. Social groups such as the Women's Institute, retirement groups, and church and community clubs often enjoy learning a new skill while sharing experiences and conversation. Youth organisations such as Scouts, Guides and Brownies, can use sessions to support badge work, creative projects, and environmental learning.
We also offer short 10-minute talks for groups interested in learning more about sustainability, creative reuse, and the work of community interest companies.
