What does Artcycle do?
Since 2024, Artcycle have been facilitating workshops to adults and young people throughout the Solent area. We deliver material-specific, step-by-step outreach workshops to schools, holiday child care providers, or a charities and residential homes, we are mobile and deliver in a nurturing and supportive way
Brighter lives and endless potential
Fun becomes educational and then stewardship of our neighbourhoods. The mission is to help people see waste as potential. We aim to, inspire creative thinking, to equip participants with practical making skills, confidence, and an entrepreneurial mindset. We visit venues across Portchester, Fareham and the Solent area. Delivering engaging sessions tailored for all.

Clubs and holidays
We offer a tailored approach with various children's abilities to support a single-material craft workshop for holiday child-care provision providers
Charities, groups, care and
residential homes
Invite us to work with you to provide your members or residents with a fun and engaging shared activity which not only develop new design and making skills but also build confidence.
Schools
Artcycle provides fun, age-appropriate creative one-off activities for schools enrichment programmes with games and guided craft workshops. We also offer a taster five-week Junior Reshapers after-school club. Using single-stream materials, children explore design, creativity and sustainability in a calm, nurturing environment. Support in small groups for children who may be struggling with mainstream school settings.
Artcycle came to visit my Girls' Brigade group last week and our girls and young women (and the leaders!) loved it. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed turning plastic bottles into jellyfish, flowers or earrings and came up with some really beautiful creations, as we thought about looking after the planet and its resources better. Thank you so much!

Not waste, just potential
Soft plastic
Reimagine bold new ideas from scrap confectionery wrappers and crisp packets. Abstract art and soft plastics patch-worked into crazy and colour creations.
Hard plastic
Plastic bottles have become the norm in the waste stream. We challenge this by reshaping them into fancy things, such as accessories, toys and decorations.

Discared tee shirts take on a new life. Many tee shirts cannot be resold in the charity shop and end up being sold for rag. The rag industry has so much rag that it's pretty much worthless. Instead of it being recycled Artcycle can encourage you to give this material a second life by cutting the fabric into strip and pulling it to make it into a strong twine. This material is perfect for making accessories and decorations using techniques such as macramé and even chunky knitting. The potential is endless.

Textiles
Discovering the hidden potential for those in need of nurturing
Whether you are home educating or looking for additional support for a young person who is struggling in a mainstream school setting, Artcycle can provide flexible, creative support.
Our Enhanced DBS-checked leaders can work with young people on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, creating a safe, supportive environment where they can learn, explore and grow.
At Artcycle, we encourage young people to discover their own vibrant journey towards something unique and amazing. Through creativity and the use of discarded and reclaimed materials, we help them develop confidence, practical skills and a sense of achievement, while also encouraging a more sustainable approach to the world around them.
We believe every young person has the potential to create something meaningful — both from the materials around them and from their own ideas, talents and experiences.
