Creative and sustainable workshops for schools
How we can make rubbish work for your school
We bring everything to you. Our workshops are mobile and fully equipped with all the materials and worksheets needed,. Each session focusing on a particular material or creative technique. Our relaxed and welcoming approach helps every child feel comfortable and ready to have a go.
We work in partnership with schools and educational provision to create positive, practical creative experiences that encourage children to explore, discover and develop skills they can carry into the future. Each session celebrates the power of creativity in sustainability, encouraging everyone to explore how art can transform everyday rubbish into something beautiful and meaningful.
With gratitude for all life, materials and talents, we engage in creative activities using single-stream materials, discovering the possibility of resources that might otherwise be thrown in the bin, or worse, tossed carelessly into the environment.
Our leaders are sensitive to the growing pressures children face today. By nurturing an appreciation for the gifts found in the natural world, we help children see that waste can be potential, a resource full of possibility, inspiring curiosity, resilience, and creative thinking.
Dedicated craft leaders are Enhanced DBS checked and first-aid trained, providing friendly, step-by-step guidance and to children of all abilities.

A sustainable living education system
Stewardship and entrepreneurship, are heart-rooted at Artcycle. Our eco, art-and-craft-based workshops nurture the connection between emotional wellbeing and the environment. Because of this, we are able to help with sustainable living education programmes. Our downloadable signage is free so you can initiate a circular economy by separating waste at source for the repurposing of items into an arts and craft material bank.

School visits & workshops
As part of your sustainability curriculum, we enjoy talking about waste and recycling. Invite us to present at your next assembly talk, or work with early years and juniors with age appropriate material Identification games and activities made from recycled items.

I am told the children loved the session on
Monday and there has been a buzz about signing
up to the after school club which is great.

Workshops inside
Classroom talks includes presenting unusual items that can be reshaped with a taster workshop and games to help children identify and separate materials to avoid contamination into waste streams.

Workshops outside
Artcycle like to make recycling fun. In the summer we have a pyramid tent, which is a nice to way to extend a classroom session. There's plenty of space to keep crafters cool. Also ideal for school fetes.
Artcycle's eye-catching pop-up booth separates the sessions away from the classroom. It's themed and decorated panels make it an engaging way to keep children focused on crafty things.
